Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Natalie Cooper (Cooper Consulting) wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we go further than AA in places — for example, text contrast is designed to meet the stricter AAA level. WCAG is the standard referenced by accessibility law in the regions we work in:

  • European Union: the European Accessibility Act and the harmonised standard EN 301 549, which incorporates WCAG.
  • Canada: the Accessible Canada Act and, in Ontario, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • United States: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), for which WCAG is the widely used benchmark.

What we’ve done

  • Contrast: text is checked against WCAG AAA (7:1 for normal text, 4.5:1 for large text), including text placed over the animated artwork, which sits behind dark washes.
  • Readable type: body text is 16–18px and the smallest labels are 13px; text can be zoomed to 200% and the layout reflows down to 320px wide without horizontal scrolling.
  • Keyboard: every link, button, menu and form can be used with a keyboard, focus is clearly visible, and there’s a “Skip to content” link.
  • Structure: pages use landmarks, a logical heading order and a declared language, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Forms: every field has a visible label, required fields are marked and checked, and the contact form opens as a full-screen sheet on phones so the keyboard can’t hide it.
  • Motion: the background animations are decorative, slow, never flash, and pause when off-screen. If you turn on “reduce motion” in your device settings, they become still images and other movement is switched off.
  • Images: decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology; meaningful images have text alternatives.
  • Touch: menu and form controls have generous tap targets.

Known limitations

  • We have assessed the site ourselves with automated checks and manual keyboard and zoom testing. We have not yet completed testing with a full range of screen readers or had an independent audit.
  • The animated background artwork can’t be paused with an on-page control; use your device’s reduce-motion setting to make it still.
  • Some steps happen outside this site, such as your own email app if the contact form falls back to email, and we can’t control their accessibility.

Feedback and alternative formats

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or need information in a different format, please email natalie@cooperconsulting.ai and tell us the page and the problem. We aim to reply within seven business days and will work with you to provide the information another way.

How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 4 November 2026 based on a self-assessment of the site. We review it whenever the site changes significantly, and at least once a year.
